NLC is embarking on a significant program of reform with a focus on Information, Communication and Technology system innovation and integration. These positions play a key role in supporting this program by driving organisational initiatives that support governance, productivity, accountability and process improvement.

The ICT Manager ensures the critical operations of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) are professionally managed to enable the successful delivery of NLC’s strategic and operational objectives and business needs.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of information and telecommunication systems, ICT procurement, budget and technical staff within the ICT Unit. This includes the cost effective and efficient management of user support services in a range of applications; planning and upgrades of the Windows networks; administering the Virtualisation environment; and ensuring ICT security, data management systems and policies are enforced.

You will be required to provide specialist ICT information and advice to management and staff, and to develop the ICT strategic plan and IT roadmap to ensure the NLC’s infrastructure and resource capabilities can support its strategic objectives.

Applicants should possess a Degree in Information Technology or equivalent, and/or extensive experience in a similar position. Maintenance and development knowledge and demonstrated experience with PC-based computer networks (both LAN and WAN), particularly in Windows Server Version 2008 and higher, are essential. Completion of CCNA and MCSE qualification, and a solid background in infrastructure and Cloud services is desirable.

Applicants must also have high level knowledge and substantial experience in systems management server, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes servers, with strong problem solving ability and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
