Community Planning & Development Administration Officer (CD06)
The NLC’s Community Planning and Development (CP&D) Program assists Traditional Owners who have resolved to apply their income from land use agreements to social, cultural and environmental initiatives that generate lasting community benefit.
The position is responsible for providing a high level of administrative, logistical and project support to assist the CP&D Unit to achieve its strategic goals within the application of the CP&D Framework.
Strong interpersonal and high-level oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Aboriginal people is essential, as is previous experience working independently to manage priorities, using sound judgement in decision making and problem solving to achieve necessary outcomes and meet deadlines.
The successful applicant will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills with a commitment to high personal work standards and to the delivery of client-focused services.
You will be expected to have high level computer literacy to develop and maintain information, data systems and records, expertise in standard office software packages including Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to coordinate meeting logistics and to develop meeting documentation.
Experience in the use of TRIM and CRM systems, and possession of a relevant qualification or studying towards a qualification in Business Administration, would be highly regarded.
Previous work experience in a social enterprise development setting or in an Aboriginal organisation, with knowledge of Aboriginal culture and society, and the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the NT is desirable.
