PFAS Community Sessions held by Department of Defence

​The Department of Defence is holding a Community Walk-in Session to provide information on the environmental investigations into per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at RAAF Base Darwin and Robertson Barracks.

They welcome the attendance and participation of Darwin’s traditional owners and custodians.

The Community Walk-in Session will include a presentation on the findings of the Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) completed for RAAF Base Darwin and the findings of the Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) completed for Robertson Barracks. Defence, and other government agencies will be available to answer your questions about the ongoing environmental investigations.

Defence will also hold a Community Stand, to provide an opportunity to find out more about the environmental investigations in an informal setting.

Community Walk-in Session:

Date:  Tuesday 19 June 2018

Venue: Charles Darwin University, Room Blue 5, University Drive East (off Dripstone Road), Casuarina     

Time:  5.00pm to 7.00pm. Presentation starts at 5.15pm

Light refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.

Community Stand:

Date:  Wednesday 20 June and Thursday 21 June 2018

Venue:  Casuarina Square Stand located near Amcal Chemist 247 Trower Road Casuarina         

Time: 9.00am to 5.30pm Visit any time
