The Northern Land Council (NLC) utilises Tenderlink for our procurement and publishing of opportunities, such as tenders, requests for quotes and expressions of interest, and managing the procurement process through to the contract awarding stage.

NLC KATHERINE PURPOSE BUILT OFFICES

The Northern Land Council (NLC) intends to procure the construction of a new purpose built office facility at Lot 3472 Chardon Street, Katherine East, to establish a regional service hub in the Katherine Region.

The NLC is a representative body with statutory authority under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (ALRA). It also has responsibilities under the Native Title Act 1993 (NT Act) and the Pastoral Land Act 1992. It is a not-for-profit Corporate Commonwealth entity.

The purpose of the land acquisition is to build a facility that will help strengthen NLC's presence in the region; improving services to constituents, being responsive to stakeholder needs and meet statutory obligations. A Katherine Service Hub also supports improving services to all Regional Operations in the VRD, Borroloola Barkly and Ngukurr Regions.

The scope of works to be delivered under the contract includes (without limitation) the construction of;

1. Three contemporary single storey multi-function buildings to operate as 

  • An administration building;
  • An amenities and conference building

A ranger office / staff kitchen building;

2. Landscaping and external areas;

3. One warehouse and associated areas; 

4. External hardstands and carparking;

5. Internal access roads and loading area;

6. Fencing and associated services;

7. Building and external facilities services and infrastructure. 

Free Supplier Registration

NLC welcomes current and potential suppliers of goods and services to register on this portal. There is no charge for registration. 

Once confirmed as a registered supplier, you will receive email notification of any new opportunities we publish. Via the portal you will be able to:

  • Download and view any associated tender documentation;
  • Receive email notifications for any addendums lodged on applicable tender notices;
  • Participate in tender Q&A forums; and
  • Submit electronic bid responses through our secure eTender boxes.

NLC applies transparency to all procurement activities, with the results of awarded tenders released on our website.

Tenders must be lodged electronically through the Tenderlink portal and must be received prior to the advertised closing time.

Any canvassing of Council Members or Staff in relation to any procurement, may result in the tender being automatically disqualified. NLC reserves the right to accept or reject any tender.
